1993A Brother John and Pete outside my stall. Border pipes and drum.
1993B 1993 was the year of the dancing marionettes. Pete had made a bunch of dancing dolls to sell on my stall. He had also brought Max Plank who danced so vigorously whenever Pete played music that his head would fly off. (Max’s head, not Pete’s).
The festival had an ESPACE PLUS, so we instigated an ESPACE MOINS outside my stall and we had afternoon performances from a small host of dancing dolls.
Left to right. Marg (recorder), Max, Pete (3 holes whistle & drum), Pam Bishop (duet concertina) ????? and Brother John.
1993C Max often got big audiences. Incidentally I do believe that though Max is currently ‘resting’ (in his wooden box) he would be very keen to come out and perform again if a suitable booking and a sensible fee were forthcoming.
1993D This doesn’t exist
1993E A couple of Petes dancing dolls ‘hit the timber’ to the music from Pam Bishops concertina. Liam watches...
1993F Liam gets his chance to put a doll through its paces.
1993G Chris??? From Belgium had a host of different marionettes. More text from Pete. Sadly all Chris’s marioneetes were later stolen from his ca.
1993H Max (left front) had collapsed from exhaustion. Some of Petes dolls took the opportunity to dance a dance a square set
1993 I Chris gave Pete a snapping wooden clog friend which made him very happy
